My experience has been that when you educate people on the background and non ethical training on AI, you get a blank stare.

Either the scope is too big or they do not really believe the implications. I don’t know. I wish there was a short layman relatable and believable explanation.

But as someone who had severe struggles with this and still thinks about it from time to time (since live is fucking hard and some developments also absolutely not helping) I would also wish for something that might sound very hard.

Ah, I see the word perplexing seems to hold different meanings here (not native speaker, but I just looked it up and what I meant is one of the meanings).

Just for clarification, it’s not a question for me as to why but just like the ‘yeah, I know, here we go’ kind of situation that is quite hopeless, as in the ending the referenced movie ‘don’t look up’ points to.

While I mostly adhered to this for decades it made me depressed and I missed the point of fighting for my needs. So while I am still open to all developments I aim for my well being more.

The funny thing is, as an atheist trying to live a reasonable life I see far less issues for me than a lot of so called religious people.

Too serious, too dark (literally hard to see, which is bad in a movie). So I didn’t bother with more than the first.

I’m not a specific superhero movie fan, but have seen all of the marvel ones and like some of the DC ones too, like the latest superman. Since it’s a silly and unrealistic thing to begin with, I like superhero movie approaches that don’t take themselves fully seriously.

It’s a tool. There are uses. However we’re currently in the ‘if all you have is a hammer, then everything is a nail’ phase. Overhyped, oversold.

Whats often left out is that it’s often trained illegally and should carry the same punishment that private people have to face on illegal acquisition of things.

Basically it doesn’t matter what it is. It’s the current thing that’s financially blown way out of proportion to shovel our money around and to a select few, if we want it or not.

What a way to piss away all that image building over two decades at least. They put so much effort in being at all the right events, the cool stuff.

Nintendo and Microsoft never were that good in this. Who would’ve thought they’d tear it all down themselves.
