So as far as I know, and I am no expert to be clear, the whole reason Europa even has a liquid ocean under the ice is because of tidal heating. Where the moon itself is pushed and pulled, heating it up immensely because of the friction of that action. So there would be no “air pockets” as such, because the ice itself is the thing creating the ocean. And due to ice being less dense than water the ocean would actually be exerting pressure on the ice mantle, not the other way around. I think this is one of the driving forces of the cryovolcanism found on Europa.

I think that depends on how big the tether is tbh. It has to be usable as an elevator so it can’t just be a thin cable. And your scenario is assuming that it would be cut down near the base, if it’s damaged anywhere higher up anything below the cut will fall down to earth.

By the necessities of its design a space elevator has to reach geostationary orbit, which would make it tall enough to wrap around the planet twice if it fell. Wouldn’t really matter if you built it on a west coast or not.

That’s not really accurate at all. A GPU running at full load might wear out its fan, but if it’s kept at a consistent temperature it’s not going to shorten the life by much. The stress on a GPU generally comes from either being over bolted or from the thermal expansion and shrinkage from an inconsistent temp.

They’re by far one of my favorite artists. And you are correct. The band has claimed the album has no original recordings at all. And something like over 3000 samples. I still don’t even know how that was possible to do back in the mid 90s when they were making it. They’re other two albums are also great, each one with a different vibe, although they started relying less on samples because of how much it complicated things to ask for so many rights to so many different tracks.

Life would still exist. I don’t think there is anything humanity could do that would completely end life. There is life living tens of kilometers underground in the lithosphere and life in such remote caves that have been separated from all other environments for millions of years.

Just a correction, there isn’t anything limiting how “far” we can see our into the universe except our limited technology. And even then we are very close. We’re only limited by how old our universe is, as it takes light that long to travel to us from the edge of the expanding universe. The furthest we can possibly see would be about 300,000 years after the big bang, when light was finally able to travel unimpeded throughout the universe.
