That’s was definitely his end goal when he started cozying up with Guillermo del Toro and other people with short lines to Hollywood

The premise was good, but that ruined the game for me. Same as Yoshi’s Island. Infant screaming.But who will they find to play Norman Reedus?!
If this somehow bombs (I know it won’t), I’m going to start calling him Hediwo Jima in public.
It’s a contemplative movie about a guy and him never having met his father, having a child of his own and traveling across a destroyed world and seeing how the survivors cope.
The sci fi stuff is just a layer over it, if they can make the themes and symbolism work
I hope they don’t ruin it, but I find myself cautiously optimistic.
- Since Kojima is involved, I think there will be an attempt to do it well, not just a low effort cash grab
- The Last Of Us TV series shows that these adaptations can be good.
