    Interesting read.

Even without the saltwater problem, drinking from the end of the Ganges sounds pretty bad considering how polluted that river is.

I have a hard time understanding the mentality of people having kids while complaining, there’s not enough fresh water.

I suppose it’s good that most of the local water supply here in ca comes from mountain snowpack melts.

I mean for one, people don’t always have a choice about having children if they can’t access birth control.

And there are cultural pressures that mean that having children is less of a choice and more a pre-ordained stage of life.

Make sure that your community has access to municipal drinking water where the salt content is actively controlled, and doesn’t depend on wells which are experiencing saltwater intrusion.
