aren’t these just regular NLP models?
but in any case, i seriously doubt there will ever be an open and usable alternative to github copilot, bc for something like to be useful at all, it would need to be at such a size that running it unachievable for virtually everyone
Maybe they make a distributed platform to run it, so that the computational cost is shared between all users.
