I am interested in people’s view on the value of “bundled” federated services offerings. I have seen that most new fediverse offerings, like Lemmy or Mastodon, usually start with the first instance being the most popular, and then a scattering of self hosted instances.
At the same time I have run across a couple of projects that offer a range of services to members like email, chat and VPN. Specifically these two:

I was wondering if people thought there was a space for something similar in the fediverse. An organization that offers a range of fedi applications: mastodon, lemmy, etc… to members of its community.
The services bundles idea is already more wide spread since years :) For example https://snopyta.org/ https://weho.st/ and more here : https://libreho.st/ Some do offer federated options like Matrix, Mastodon, Pixelfed, Peertube, Plume for example here : https://tchncs.de/
adding framasoft.org, even if their bundle is not as integrate. opendesktop.org have git, cloud and mastodon

Feneas provides great services, but have difficulty funding. They just started a crowdfunding campaign: https://feneas.org/open-letter-feneas-in-the-future/
Yes, I really like the idea. Think there may be a need for that, especially if it can be provided in a way where a single identity suffices (single sign-on), if that is possible. As fediverse evolves and apps offer deeper integrations, better interoperability, these bundles can be very attractive comprehensive ‘one-stop shop’ solutions. They may ask for a fee similar to what social.coop does too, in the form of a pay-what-you-want with a minimum threshold, in order to pay for infrastructure and maintenance tasks, etc.
Interesting site. I’m thinking something that would be flatly apolitical. Just a service, use as you please. Most of these looking to have their biases seep into the terms of service
Dave Lane of oeru.org offers a very cool set of FOSS tools in the open Education space. It is quite a list. Here are OERu Web Services as of February 2021 (and on personal blog Providing open source tools for open communities).

- VPN with OpenConnect for safe network browsing and creating private networks

At our 1st meetup in the SocialHub ActivityPub for Administrations event, an interest was expressed from the netCommons Horizon 2020 project to extend their activities to the Fediverse.
