This is bullshit or the CPU can now detect and potentially block software that is running on it that Intel considers malware.

    Seems like initially an enterprise security feature that could be useful on a wider scale for blocking things like dangerous browsers and vpns.

      Yeah, same like with Intel Management Engine. Now included in all Intel CPUs and you can’t turn it off without some major hacks (e.g. coreboot, me_cleaner). Something to keep an eye on for now.
