I'm just a common new Lemmy user, I came from Reddit, but I'm not leaving Reddit, it is superior and I'm not an idiot. After a couple weeks of observation I have some thoughts to share. It is extremely non-user friendly service, for tech reasons too, but mainly because of atmosphere is very shitty, like libs vs commis. Wait what? Okay, We have 3 big instances, lemmy.ml is kinda 'official' and is good, but others two are beehaw and lemmygrad and the both are troublemakers.
Let's start with 'good' beehaw. They are so friendly and good, you start vomiting from day one. All their lies could be understood because they can not be sincere - they are just good. They also banned other troublemaker Lemmygrad, because if you are not good you are bad (dumb, but that's the rule, and rules are rules). They see everything white or black. Also they do not have both words, because black and white are bad words. Lgbt is supported and it seems like half of them are lgbt.
Lemmygrad are 'bad' communists. Yeah. At first I thought is it a meme? No, they are communists! They are extremely weird and strange, but they are mostly harmless and also very sincere community, they also have one truth about 'west is bad', but at least they don't just ban if you are not agree with them. They are supportive to lgbt too, but I could not see idiotic 'respect me, bcz I'm lgbt' things. I liked their position more.
But both of troublemakers have same problem. They barely see each other's thoughts, they both 'against' others, their ideas and beliefs. I believe both instances should be somehow silenced for healthier atmosphere. if you had a rational criticism to make, you could have, but you decided to make it something else by "escalating tensions" here by starting an argument over a personal opinion that clearly isn't shared by everyone and then refusing to back down.
